The Support Services Team assists persons with disabilities to explore community-based opportunities that pave the way to a self-directed, independent, and inclusive lifestyle. Services provided include:
- Self-Advocacy and Self-Empowerment
- Information and Referral to Federal, State, and Local Community-Based Service Providers
- Disability Awareness Training
- Accessible Transportation Education and Enrollment Assistance
- Affordable Housing Education and Enrollment Assistance
- Texas Medicaid/Waiver Enrollment Assistance
- Social Security Benefits Enrollment Assistance
- Americans With Disabilities Act Technical Assistance
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Enrollment Assistance
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Enrollment Assistance
- Employment Readiness Support

Education: GED, Associate’s Degree in Computerized Accounting
Experience: 17 years representing Volar as the Independent Living Skills/Peer Counseling/Transportation Assistant Coordinator and Support Services Assistant Coordinator.
